Great Ways To Relieve Stress And Anxiety

For many people, stress and anxiety are two of the most common things that can be experienced on an almost daily basis. Studies show that approximately 70% of adults experience this very thing every single day and could use an online life coach to help with their stress and anxiety.

Here are four great ways that you can help yourself to relieve both stress and anxiety.

Supplements

There are many supplements that can be purchased over-the-counter and which can help to greatly reduce stress and anxiety. These can include the following:

  1. Lemon balm

  2. Omega-3 fatty acids

  3. Ashwagandha

  4. Green tea

  5. Valerian

  6. Kava kava

It’s also worth noting that there are some supplements that can have certain side effects and/or negatively interact with other medications that you may already take, so it’s important that you take the time to speak with your doctor prior to taking any of these.

Use Essential Oils or Candles

Essential oils and scented candles are great tools to help reduce feelings of both stress and anxiety, and there are some scents that are especially more soothing than others. These include the following:

  1. Lavender

  2. Rose

  3. Vetiver

  4. Bergamot

  5. Roman chamomile

  6. Neroli

  7. Frankincense

  8. Sandalwood

  9. Ylang ylang

  10. Orange or orange blossom

  11. Geranium

Reduce Your Overall Caffeine Intake

Oftentimes, people enjoy consuming beverages such as soda, coffee, tea, and others that contain caffeine. Unfortunately, caffeine is considered to be a stimulant, and consuming high amounts of it can result in an increase in anxiety. If you consume caffeine and you notice that you become anxious or jittery, think about reducing how much caffeine you consume on a normal basis. Furthermore, while coffee is generally considered to be healthy when consumed in moderation, it’s also a beverage that not everyone enjoys. A moderate amount is considered to be five cups or fewer. In terms of caffeine itself, individuals have various thresholds in regards to exactly how much they will be able to tolerate.
